I'm a fifth-year Physics undergraduate at IISER Kolkata with a passion for exploring optics and light-matter interaction. I am excited to explore the field of quantum optics and non-linear optics. Apart from academics, I never miss an opportunity for an evening of football. I also play fingerstyle guitar during my free time and engage in volunteer work.

- Exploring light-matter interactions at nanoscale dimensions, particularly through photonics and metamaterials
- Bridging computational simulations with experimental optics, including polarization analysis and building setups to enhance optical properties for novel materials.
- Quantum optics applications for information processing, including chiral and on-chip quantum optics, quantum communication, and quantum sensing
- Advanced imaging techniques in biological systems and developing photonic devices with practical applications
- Exploiting non-linear media for integrated photonics, including frequency conversion, four-wave mixing, and optical parametric amplification
- Nanoscale quantum control including single- and multi-photon emitters based on quantum dots and strong light-matter coupling in molecular cavities

Interaction of Nanoparticles in Chiral Host Media
- Working on building a setup for enhancing the optical properties of chiral nanoparticles by tight focusing of light
- Automating and speeding up the procedure for measuring Mueller matrices by implementing scripts in MATLAB
- Building MIE scattering theory for the interaction of a tightly focused light beam in a chiral host medium with nanoparticles
- Implementing the theory by simulating scattering matrix in the far field, Mueller matrix, scattering cross-sections and optical properties in Python and MATLAB
Darkfield Microscopy
- Working on darkfield microscopy setup to measure the k-domain Mueller matrices for a waveguide plasmonic crystal
- Integrating MATLAB simulations for far-field Mueller matrix measurements and confirming experimental results
